Weaving Wyrd - connect with your magic through dance, runes and song

As the height of summer draws near and the veil between worlds feels thin, you are invited to step into the circle and dance with the threads of fate.

Surrounded by the living Viking encampment and held within the Sparring Arena, this enchanting 2.5-hour ritual workshop led by Priestess Meggie offers a chance to reconnect with the old ways through movement, rhythm, story and spirit.

In the Northern traditions, Wyrd is the great web of fate that binds us all — the unseen threads of connection between ourselves, the gods, the land and the lives we are yet to live. Through dance, song, story, runes and meditation, you will be guided on a journey to awaken your wild spirit and listen to the deeper rhythm that lives within you.

Rhythm is at the heart of who we are. It beats in our hearts, moves through our breath and echoes in the cycles of the earth beneath our feet. Together, we will enter the sacred circle, honour the old gods, make offerings and weave our voices, movements and intentions into something powerful and shared.

This is not a performance. It is an experience.

There will be moments of energy and release, moments of stillness and reflection, and space to connect with yourself, with others and with the spirit of the North. Whether you come seeking empowerment, inspiration, healing, connection or simply curiosity, you will be welcomed into the circle.

Participants are warmly invited to bring shamanic drums, blankets, cushions, water or comfort items to help create a personal and cosy ritual space.

No previous experience is needed — only an open heart and a willingness to follow the call of Wyrd.

You must hold a valid festival ticket for the day you are joining this experience. You cannot attend workshops or activities without a valid festival ticket.
