About Valhalla Viking Festival
A Viking festival built by the community, for the community.
Valhalla Viking Festival is a not-for-profit event created because we felt something like this was sorely missing in the UK. Our first festival took place in 2021, and since then we have learned, grown, adapted and built something stronger every year.
What began as an idea for a great Viking gathering has become a 3-day festival of feasting, music, battles, storytelling, ceremonies, markets, camping, activities and community.
What Is Valhalla?
A place to step out of everyday life and into a world of Viking culture, myth, music and fire.
Welcome To The Horde
Valhalla Viking Festival is a 3-day camping festival focused around Viking culture, the Gods, live entertainment, hands-on activities and a great Viking Feast each night in the Mead Hall.
It is a place for Vikings, Heathens, Pagans, history lovers, fantasy fans, families, makers, musicians, reenactors, storytellers and curious newcomers to come together and experience something a little wild, a little ancient and very memorable.
It is not a polished corporate event. It is a growing community festival, built with heart, hard work, volunteers, traders, performers, supporters and guests who want to help create something special.

The Valhalla Experience
Three days of battles, music, mythology, feasting, fire and friendship.
By Day
Explore the market, watch battles and demonstrations, visit the Living History Village, take part in activities, meet performers and discover what is happening across the festival site.
By Evening
Gather for music, fire performances, storytelling, ceremonies, drinks, laughter and the atmosphere of hundreds of people coming together as one Horde.
By Night
Feast in the Mead Hall, raise a horn with old and new friends, listen to live music, and carry the feeling of Valhalla back to the campsite fires.

The Great Feast
At the heart of Valhalla is the Mead Hall.
Eat, Drink & Be Merry
Each evening, the Mead Hall becomes the centre of the festival. Long tables fill with Vikings, Heathens and Pagans ready to eat, drink, sing, laugh and share the atmosphere of the Feast.
The aim is to create the closest thing we can to Valhalla while still in Midgard: shared food, mead, ale, music, stories, community and the feeling that you are part of something bigger than a normal festival night.
The Feast is about atmosphere, not excess. Please drink responsibly, respect the volunteers and enjoy the experience with your fellow Vikings.
Built By The Community
Valhalla exists because people believed it should.
From 2021 To Now
Our first event was in 2021. Since then, every year has taught us something new. We have learned what works, what needs improving, what our community wants more of, and how to keep shaping Valhalla into the kind of festival people look forward to all year.
We are still growing. Every ticket, every volunteer, every trader, every performer and every guest helps shape what Valhalla becomes next. The more support the festival receives, the more we can build, improve and bring to the field.

For Vikings, Heathens, Pagans & The Curious
You do not need to arrive knowing everyone. You just need to arrive ready to be part of it.
Come As You Are
Some people arrive in full kit. Some arrive in fantasy-inspired clothing. Some arrive in jeans and a T-shirt. We welcome everyone who wants to join in, be respectful and have a good time.
Find Your People
Valhalla is as much about the people as the programme. Sit around the fire, join a workshop, watch a battle, raise a horn and meet others who understand why this kind of gathering matters.
How It Started
Valhalla began with an idea, a community need and a lot of determination.
The start of Valhalla came through a crowdfunding campaign for the initial budget needed. We reached our goal in just 4 hours of going live, which showed us just how many people wanted this kind of event to exist.
Since then, Valhalla has continued to grow through the support of attendees, volunteers, performers, traders, sponsors and people spreading the word. Every year we learn more, improve more and build more of the world we originally imagined.
It takes a huge amount of work to bring Valhalla to life, but seeing the Mead Hall full, the fires lit, the market alive, the battles underway and the Horde gathered together makes it worth it.
Help Shape Valhalla
Spread the word, volunteer, participate, perform, trade or bring something new to the field.
Want To Play A Bigger Part?
The best chance we have of creating something truly special is making sure people know about it. Tell your friends, bring your clan, share the festival, fill the Mead Hall and help grow the Horde.
If you are interested in volunteering, participating, providing entertainment, running a workshop, trading, sponsoring or helping us organise the festival, we would love to hear from you.
