The Viking Feast
The Feast Hall opens at 18:00. You will be provided with a drink on entry, such as mead, beer or cider, and directed to your table.
When seated, a sharing platter of meats, cheeses, fruit, bread and bagels will be waiting on the table. Each platter is designed to be shared between 6 people.
Once these have been cleared, sharing platters stacked with meat and vegetable sides will be brought to each table. Servers will then continue offering top-ups of each dish during the Feast.
Expect a mixture of sausages, pork belly, chicken, beef patties, pork patties, schnitzel, potatoes, mixed vegetables, salad items, pickles and similar feast foods. Exactly what appears may vary slightly from day to day.
If your table demolishes the platters, servers and bar staff will be moving around with top-ups. There is plenty of food and drink to go around.
The Viking Feast is all about the atmosphere. You will be seated in the hall with hundreds of other Vikings, sharing food and drink while enjoying entertainment on stage.
If you are expecting to order a three-course meal from a menu, this will not be the right experience for you. If you are happy to share an assortment of food and drink with good company, you have found the right place.
Around 21:00, tables are cleared of plates and leftovers, the hall reopens to all festival goers, and the Feast comes to an end until the next day.
